The Procession Dei Morti - Las Vegas Renaissance Faire 10/2009
One week before Masque Dei Mortis, the Procession of the Dead descended upon the Clark County Renaissance Faire. After the park was closed to the public and the lights went down, strange sounds, spectral fireflies and the March of Procession Dei Morti began. Weaving its way through the entire grounds and enticing the hard working guilds to come and be a part of our revelry of death and life. Finally, the Procession halted at Brotherhood of the Gauntlet where the Nightmare of the Yukei performed fire, and a party unique to Faire ensued.

The Procession was such a success, many guilds asked of our plans the next year. Slave of the Muse has not since had another Masque Dei Mortis, yet for three years running The Procession has walked the medieval grounds at night, reminding guilds to experience each moment, for death is always a moment away.
Return of the Yukei – Las Vegas Renaissance Faire 10/2010
As with the previous year, the lights fell and the procession rose weaving like an ephemeral snake through the guilds, with the ever-twisted Merik the Mad calling out fellow mad wanderers to join us and follow to its end. Resounding shouts of “We are the MAD!” filled the night air, with the ever louder response of “MAD!” echoed further and further back down the line as more watchers, looking for warmth, entertainment and madness began to join our ranks.
The Procession returned to their origin, Queen Dei Mortis took her seat on the dais as her dancers entertained her and the crowd. In the dark, there was the crashing of blades. And finally, the Yukei returned to claim their rightful place in the Procession Dei Morti after their banishment from the Court of the Dead. The Lord of Purgatory refused them, and a fire competition ensued.
At the end of the competition, the crowd resoundingly claimed the Slave performers, dubbed Purgatory's Forge, victorious. The Yukei would have to wait to rejoin the Procession, but their courage and bold actions earned them both applause and respect.
Lord of Purgatory took the crown of the victory and placed it upon his head as the second annual party for the guilds commenced.

The Hand of Purgatory – Las Vegas Renaissance Faire 10/2011
The glowing spiral doors opened to reveal the Procession Dei Morti for the third year, once more commanded by the Warrior Herald of the Dead and flanked by the mischief-making Merik, the procession snaked around massive flat, Faire grounds enticing viewers to become part of the action.
As they were out making the rounds to the guilds again as a reminder of life and death, their portal was overtaken by an aristocratic man, Kantamatra—the enemy of individuality, self worth and inspired notions. Armed with his swordsmen, he demanded audience with Lord Dei Mortis.
The Warrior Herald of Death would have no part of it and a clash of swords between hired swordsmen and the stoic redfaces of procession ensued. With bodies littering the floor, the spiral gate spread wide revealing Lord of Purgatory. The Warrior Herald of Death and Purgatory had fought once before in a stalemate - so both were eager to prove thier worth.
Purgatory's imps slashed at The Herald, wearing him down until it seemed there was no way for him to win - and the Seraphim came to destroy the imps while The Herald disarmed Purgatory. Again, the doors opened to reveal The Seraphim Oracle, who proclaimed Lord of Purgatory banished back to his own Forge.
After a bit of fanfare, the Procession went back through their spiraled portal, the spectators invited inside and the yearly festivities got underway. Complete with a fire performance from Slave of the Muse and the Brotherhood of the Flame.
